Can we meet you Ma'am?

...My name is Boyejo Oluwadunsin 

I am the creative director of Vinic Apparel Collections.  Am a graduate of Fed. Poly. Ilaro. 

I am an Estate Surveyor by discipline 😁. 

Can you share us about your journey so far?

....Well, I must say it has been God all the way . My  journey of been a fashion  designer started some years ago 2013 to be precise,when I decided to learn this skills(during my HND days ) even though I never knew I would make it my profession later in life. Before I finished my training I had already started sewing for friends and family. I so much have passion for this profession that I usually do my personal research after the day's training which has really helped me till date . 

The reaction of friends, boss and family made me loved my work the more  and then before I finished from higher institution I had already created a brand name 

(Vickky's Home of Fashion) And so many others  that I  can't remember .  Fortunately before I finished from  school, I taught to myself that it's better I settle for this profession.  So fast forward to service year . My brother and brother in law advised me to  apply for BOI's loan which I did 

This process of application taught me so many things...eg, 

•  How to grow a business
•  Write a business plan 
• Was able to register my business name  and all Which I 'll forever be grateful for though I later withdrew and went for another loan plan which is more favorable to a new biz 

 These things put together ,reinforced with unemployment factor in Nigeria got me ready to  being an entrepreneur 

Cos I  am able to start d creation  of  job opportunity for youths and also empowering them through the fashion school.

What are your achievements so far?

 ....Our Achievements over the year (the company was establish 2016)  has been wonderful.  We have been able to create a fashion school and tutored  about 5 students ,gained more experiences. Learnt different things and so on.

Our vision is  to help clients bring out the best in their dream designs,and dress the world.Our mission for Vinic Apparel Collections  is to be one of the most creative African designers  .

Your Mission and Vision as a Fashion Designer in Nigeria?

Vinic is committed to inspiring, educating and creating true professionals in the sphere of art and design by promoting academic excellence through well-crafted curricula and distinctive learner-centred environment that enables students to maximise employment opportunities by providing them with career oriented courses.

Our vision for the vinic fashion school  is to create a premier fashion academy, globally recognized as a leader whose educational experience, knowledge and art  ll help reshape the face of Fashion education.

What are your advice to the up coming Fashion designers and the people aspiring to be like you out there?

Our advice to the upcoming designers is that they should remain  focused no matter the challenges that comes their way. They should keep improving themselves from time to time and always put their trust in God
